Supposedly, EMS condenses three hours of a conventional strength training into a thirty minute workout by sending electric currents to different muscle groups while you wear a power suit. By dialing a master control connected to your suit, which was provided by the studio, the trainer can adjust the depth of the shocks. I worked up a nice sweat and left the studio feeling giddy, looking forward to feeling the effects later that night or within 24 hours, like the trainer said I would. But alas, I didn&#8217;t feel any delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) like I believe I should have.
